The 11th annual Midwest Furniture Show is set for Sept 27-28 at Bobak’s Conference Center at Seven Bridges in Woodridge, Ill.

“In the 10 years since we started the show, a lot has changed in our business,” said Allen Landau, president of the Midwest Furniture Club and show coordinator. “Selling online, new competitors and a different economy mean that we’ve been bringing in more tech folks and more logistics folks.”

The show expects to attract between 150 and 175 retailers during its two-day run, with 75 vendors showing furniture, bedding, marketing and merchandising programs, POP options and logistics solutions. Vendors include Ashley, Jackson-Catnapper, Global, Magic Sleep and Renaissance Marketing.

“Most of our retailers won’t travel to High Point and Las Vegas for market,” said Geoff Weed, co-founder of the show. “So, we try to bring the best of market to Chicago. What’s new is our emphasis on updating the resources for our customers.” “Several of our vendors offer market specials on products and services, to help the local retailers get the same deals as the market attendees,” said Landau.

Attendees will be entered for a chance to win prizes by raffle, and a complimentary lunch is available. On Wednesday night, a cocktail reception gives attendees and exhibitors a chance to mingle.

The Midwest Furniture Show is run by the Midwest Furniture Club, IHFRA’s largest chapter. For more information, go to midwestfurnitureshow.com.
