Satara is excited to unveil several new collections at this years Denfair, spearheaded by furniture products designed by both Australian and European designers.
The new Tailored Collection by Australian Designer Rory Unite for Satara features a collection of chairs and stools suitable for both residential and commercial applications. The first Tailored collection originated as a one off sculptural pieces, hand carved from re purposed floor joists. The second generation fibreglass version is a fluid transition from the timber original. The transition of materials and process from carving to casting has given the pieces a new translucent dimension as the light passes through the outer skin emanating a sense of life within.
They will also be unveiling the Amo Chair which is an exploration of the plasticity of wood. The frame utilizes a combination of steam bending and hand carving techniques, while the seat is elegantly slung with custom dyed hand-waxed canvas. For the american oak frame we feature a natural aged finish and a Japanese Shou Sugi Ban (burnt wood) finish.
Devotees of Satara’s comprehensive collection of Indoor/Outdoor furniture will love the new Rain Collection by Italian Designer Gian Paolo Venier. This collection was recently released at the 2019 Milan Fair and features unique curved lines and handwoven ropes in a collection of lounge , dining and bar furniture.
