Founded by Andrew and Colleen Johnston, Satara’s started out in Melbourne over 10 years ago. Now they have trade showrooms in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Auckland and, are excited to announce a collaboration with SMITHMADE in Sydney.
This collaboration with SMITHMADE in Balgowlah enables Satara to have a showroom presence in each Australian state and has been as a direct result of demand from the Design Community and General Public alike.

2019 has been a major year for Satara’s commercial work, with iconic projects ranging from The Intercontinental Hayman Island, Orpheus Island, Eco Lodges in the Kimberley to as far south as the Portsea Hotel and new Portsea Life Saving Club.
Their new ranges are a real highlight, with chic alfresco and dining pieces. “Satara’s aesthetic hits the mark for Aussies that love a relaxed yet luxurious look”, says David Dunbar owner of SMITHMADE. “Standout new products for 2019/20 include the new Catalan Collection, a collaboration between exceptional design and robust outdoor materials.” The Indoor ranges also include the popular Noah and Logan ranges made from recycled teak.
With the new collaboration with SMITHMADE and a constant flow of new products, 2020 looks set to be another Blockbuster year for the team at Satara.
