Designed for StylecraftHOME, the Noon collection by Ross Gardam has expanded to include a new armchair and sofas with welcoming forms, gentle curves and an elegant stitched detail.

StylecraftHOME is a new favourite destination for premium residential furniture and lighting from international and local design brands. Comfort, quality and luxury are at the heart of the StylecraftHOME brand as well as the expanded Noon collection designed by Ross Gardam. “It is exciting to work with local designers in developing products for domestic interiors. In conversations with Ross, we were both excited for him to turn his focus to designing a complete residential lounge collection,” says StylecraftHOME Brand Director, Tony Russell.

The Noon sofas and armchair are soft and enveloping with plump cushioning over the gently arced arms and backrest. These defining curves give the seating a distinctive aesthetic and provide an extra level of comfort. “The curved inner cushion is inspired by throw cushions bending over through use,” says designer Ross Gardam. “We used this familiar, relaxed aesthetic in the design of the arm, creating a perfect place to rest your arm or head.” screenshot_3A parallel stitch detail frames the edges of the seating: a twin needle stitch on the hard external shell and a pinch stitch on the soft inner cushioning. “These stitch lines run around the product, curve over and around the arm and perfectly frame the lounge,” Ross says. They also help define the inner and outer forms of the seating, as does the option of contrasting textiles: leather on the external sides of the seat and armrest, and fabric upholstery to the inner seat and backrest.

The tri-cut detail, where the cushioning and shell meet, is complementary to the coffee tables, rugs and mirrors in the Noon collection. “This tri-cut detail flowing through the collection subtly represents gradient of light, shade and shadow captured over a day. I envisaged it in interiors socked in dappled noon sunlight,” explains Ross. screenshot_4Noon is available in an armchair, two- and three-seater sofa, and single-arm lounges allow for modular arrangements. The shells are elevated on steel tubular legs finished with matt black powder coat, or a choice of upholstery.

Noon is the latest addition to StylecraftHOME’s range of Australia-designed and made furniture and lighting, which includes designs by Ross Gardam, Keith Melbourne, Tom Skeehan, Helen Kontouris and Alexander Lotersztain. screenshot_5Understanding the value of home, StylecraftHOME offers original and contemporary furniture and lighting for creating comfortable and meaningful spaces for life to unfold.
