DAM Presents Latest Collection at Ambiente

‘Life is too short to waste time on boring or disposable products; we want people who love the spaces where they go and where they live’. It’s with this bold sentiment that Hugo Silva and Joana Santos, the design duo behind DAM, have designed their latest collection.

Launching at Ambiente in Frankfurt, DAM will be presenting a new line of products including the DUO stools, CORTINA pendent lamp and PIPO small stall.

The DUO [pictured] offers dual functionality as both a stool or side table. With a strong geometric character, DUO is a fascinating conversation between two different tonalities of natural material – light and dark cork. Pleasingly tactile with an inviting warmth, the cork material also offers sound absorbing properties that muffle environmental noise, making them an ideal choice for bustling bar spaces.

The dark cork carries over from the DUO to the CORTINA pendant lamp, with a frame cast from a block of natural cork. Contrasting to dramatic effect with a steely metallic sheet, it’s an intriguing balance between warmth and cool urbane tones. As with the DUO stools, the cork material serves as an impeccable natural noise buffer, absorbing environmental noise. Reflecting the values of light, land and nature, the CORTINA offers a fascinating transition between interior and exterior spaces.

A third, and equally flawless, interpretation of natural cork is the PIPO small stool, which also offers dual functionality as a side table. Following the success of the original PIPO stool, the new PIPO small stool, retains a distinctive design inspired by the form of a wine barrel. Combing natural cork and rope detail available in four colour ways, the PIPO is proudly versatile, fun and fresh as well as practical and sustainable.

Exhibiting at Ambiente from February 10th to 14th, DAM will be presenting their  latest collection at Hall 11.0.
