For the first time, EFE will showcase an India Export Pavilion, providing networking opportunities to foster connections between the world’s largest democratic country and local manufacturers. EFE 2017 will also shift a focus into instilling the research and development element into furniture production where ideas, concepts and themes can be explored and developed into working Designs and Prototypes. Now in its  second edition, the Professional Designers Programme (PDP) is set to appear once again, much to the delight of exhibitors and buyers. The programme has been engaged to increase awareness of the opportunities offered by  Malaysian furniture export through designed-based products, highlighting their key points of differentiation between commonplace non-designed-based products.

Buoyed by the strong buying mood of more overseas and an influx of new buyers, EFE 2016 saw record sales of US$703 million. Now, the 2017 edition is witnessing again a high return rate of exhibitors from across the world. Importers, exporters and wholesalers will make up over half of trade visitors to EFE, reinforcing their reputation amongst international buyers for quality, value and wide selection of all types of furniture including the much sought Malaysian wood dining sets, bedroom and dressing furniture.
