Glu Mobile Inc., Design Home’s developer, reports earning $41.4 million in bookings from the app since it debuted in November. Design Home offers a variety of backdrops and 3D images of more than 4,000 “unique items” players can use to create a room – or buy for real. “Click any piece you love and buy it for your own home,” says the iTunes store app description.

The interactive platform gives users the opportunity to decorate living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and outdoor spaces with thousands of furniture and home décor items from leading brands. New challenges are available daily, set against interior spaces from around the world.

Design Within Reach, Serena & Lily, Kathy Kuo Home, Madera Home and Noir and Loloi are a few of the brands whose merchandise appears in, and is sold through, Design Home.

Players get their initial five designs for free. Designs can be entered in the game’s contests to win in-game rewards, good for purchasing access to higher quality home décor items.
