Capra Designs newest collection, titled Match Stick, has a strong focus on surface design. The name speaks to the the sticks of copper and zinc inlay into the resin surface. The result is a sumptuous finish coupled with luxurious colours that could be used as neutrals or features in any home.

Colour has always played a major part in Capra Designs collections. The colours selected for the Match Stick range have been done so to enhance the shine of the copper and zinc.

As Capra Designs moves toward a more earthy palette a new colour has been introduced which is a rich red, named Garnet.2000414_l

ABOUT CAPRA DESIGNS

There is no doubt Capra Designs is about living ones passion. The design studio was born out of a love and collection of plants that required equally beautiful pots and stands.

Melbourne couple Bianca Lambert and Thomas Wilson are the people behind the label. Thomas is a carpenter by trade, specialising in luxury houses with high-end modern finishes. Bianca is an arts marketer by profession and avid hands-on maker.

“Tom and I have always spent our spare time creating things together and making pots and plant stands was just one of those projects.  I taught myself how to create moulds, mix pigments to create unique colours and pour resin to design patterns. In the meantime Tom was experimenting with his newest tool, his welder. This went on for over a year. When our gorgeous boy Banjo arrived it was evident that we needed to lead by example by living our passion, which was creating gorgeous objects to bring joy to others, – Bianca Lambert, Co-founder of Capra Designs
